Stress levels up 24 percent since the 1980s

This may not come as much of a surprise, but a new analysis by Carnegie Mellon University confirms that we’re more stressed than ever [USAToday.com].

Researchers found that stress has increased 18 percent for women and 24 percent for men since 1983. The highest levels of stress were among women, people with lower incomes, and those with less education. The study also found that stress decreases with age, so keep your head up—apparently there are more stress-free days ahead!
