Ever wondered what’s really in your food? The answer: bugs. While the FDA sets regulations to protect your food, they set a limit—“Food Defect Action Levels”—that determine what can be in your food. A certain amount of bug parts is acceptable. For example, 225 grams of pasta can’t have more than 225 bug parts. Anything less, and it’s OK to eat.
